Can’t afford a Vintage strat? How about a reissue? It’s not the choice for a collector, reissues are more for guitar players as opposed to guitar investors, or guitar museum builders.
If playing guitar is what you’re all about as opposed to looking at them, then a reissue is a good choice, as you can get your hands on a quality strat at a fraction of the original release price. With an ongoing raft of reissues too, chances are if the style of Strat you want hasn’t been reissued yet, it will be at some point.
Quite simply, there aren’t enough original vintage Strats to go round, so reissues are a smart move by Fender, because if you want that sound, then there’s only one way to get it! Reissues sometimes have had small alterations or updates from the original, but unless you are a slave to the past, this is actually a good thing, as they can be improvements.
